Welcome to the Official Website for the Heber Springs Chamber of Commerce. We hope that you will bookmark this site and check back often for Information about Relocation and Recreational Opportunities in the Heber Springs and Greers Ferry Lake Area as well as Chamber News about upcoming Festivals and Events. Springfest, one of the Largest Fireworks shows in Arkansas and the World Championship Cardboard Boat Races are just a few of the events that happening in our area during the year.
With two world-record catches on Greers Ferry Lake and one world record on the Little Red River, it's understandable why anglers are attracted to the region. Al Nelson of Higden started the action in 1982 with a 22-pound, 11-ounce walleye. Jerald C. Shaum of Shirley added a 27-pound, five-ounce hybrid striped bass in 1997.
But the late Rip Collins of Heber Springs shocked the fishing world in 1992 with a 40-pound, four-ounce brown trout he caught on the Little Red River. Call any of our guide services or try it for yourself, fly fishing on the Little Red River which holds the World Record Brown Trout at 40lbs. 4 oz.
Some of The Natural State's premier resorts are located on the wooded shorelines of the lake and river. Championship golf courses, tennis centers, nature trails, world class lodging and luxurious dining are some of the reasons people return year after year to vacation in the region.
Heber Springs visitors also delight in visiting the downtown shops and galleries. The last Saturday of each month the local art galleries & other shops stay open until 8:00 PM for the gallery walk. Each shop or gallery will feature works by artists & authors, live music, from jazz to bluegrass or easy listening and will provide an array of hor'devours.
