Friday, April 23th
from 6 PM - 7:30 PM - Come enjoy a sampling of the best food in Heber Springs! Over 20 restaurants participate in the annual “Taste of Heber” located at
First General Baptist Church admission $5 Adults-Children 12&U free.   You will want to enjoy a “Taste” of great food and then stroll through downtown businesses to see the artistic talents of  two and three dimensional artists. Don’t forget to get your program punched at each participating business to win great door prizes.  It’s not over until the Chair Art Auction. Just ordinary chairs are transformed into works of art just right for your living or dining room.  Part of the fun is finding that right chair and designing the artwork to go on it. You don’t have to be an artist to paint a chair to compete for cash prizes of $75-$50-$25. Chairs will be auctioned Friday evening as a fundraiser to help support Springfest at 7:30 PM, door prizes will be drawn following the auction. 

April 24, 25  - Quality Art & Handmade Crafts, Food & Entertainment - Art, Jewelry, Pottery, Wood Art, Wrought Iron,  Yard Furniture & Native American crafts are just a few of the booths in Spring Park, including Bungee jump, slides and much more for the kids.  On Saturday the Springfest Beauty Pageant and  entertainment throughout the weekend  in Spring Park.  Check out the Springfest Car & Bike Show around the historical Cleburne County Courthouse and in Spring Park you’ll find the Mountain Top Volkswagen Car Show and Swap Meet.

Pack your bags for fun at Springfest in the Ozarks as we take you on a nature adventure into the Butterfly Pavilion. No shots needed, no jet lag when entering the land of 100 butterflies. You will explore sights and sounds, food sources and the migration of the beautiful monarch butterfly even feed the butterflies. Tickets to enter are $5  plus the first 25 people get to let your own butterfly go in the pavilion. All those entering the pavilion throughout the weekend are eligible to enter the opportunity to release all the butterflies on Sunday, however you must be present to win. Winner announced around 4 PM. Call the chamber for details - (501) 362-2444.

 

Take The Lake 5k Walk/Run
Saturday, April 24–  Walkers and runners are all invited to participate in the eighth annual  Take the Lake 5K Walk/Run  benefiting  American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Race begins at 6:00 p.m. at the JFK Overlook  - This is a beautiful course, runners will experience awesome views of the lake and the nature that surrounds it.  Prizes will be awarded, with overall male and female winners.  Registration is open now, to be guaranteed a T-shirt, participants should register by April 10th.  Race participants can register online at www.racesonline.com.   For more information contact Cynthia Kasbohm: Email at takethelake5k@gmail.com or call 501-206-5498.
